i don't remember the exact details, but i was supposed to color something culture related.
i decided to choose Africa since everyone kept going japan, china, and something Asian related.
i love being the combo breaker.
so the colors and design i came up in this picture was supposed to make it feel more related to that certain culture.
my references were a LOT of rugs and cloth. way too many to reference because they were from like 14 books and random internet websites.
and i STILL don't think i did a good job at being related to that country. so at the end, i ended up subconsciously drawing a rug..
looks a bit more Egyptian perhaps? *shrugs* still looks nice either way or the other.

i think you picked the right colours but the waves like borders look greek (at least there very comon in anciant greek artifacts) the wite shape/frame makes me think about something Lappish.
